I have an Excel workbook with multiple sheets (Jan11; Feb11; ...Dez11) and another sheet called "master", all the sheets have the same structure and a common field "customer number".
Every month I have to perform calculations on the sheet "master", which consist of subtract or add values for customers.
I want to have a mechanism (a reference cell or a combo box) that allows me to say what month I am working and perform all calculations automatically, without having to change the formulas in the worksheet "master" according to the month in question.
Master sheet example

You may put the sheet name in a particular cell (or use a data validation list) and then make VLOOKUP look in that particular sheet.
This can be achieved using the INDIRECT function.
For e.g.
VLOOKUP(C4,INDIRECT($A$1&"!Q1:R210"),2,0)
 
A1- Contains the name of the Sheet.
Q1:R210- Table array
