Troubleshoot:Automatic Adjacent Cell Completion Based on Cell Input Error

Automatic Adjacent Cell Completion Based on Cell Input

Hi,
I would like to automatically fill another cell based on my input.
For example, I might start typing in the name of a raw material in one cell, and thecode for that raw material is
automatically input into another cell - ie.
not using the 'Fill' feature where you must click and drag.  The ability to input either the name or the code and its corresponding information is automatically filled into the other cell, is prefered.
Can the automatic cell fill be 'smart'? - ie.
if I type 'timber' instead of 'Timber', will the code for Timber still be automatically filled?
thanks for your help!
