Using Excel 2007, how do I calculate a payment with uneven cash flows?

For example, amount funded is on 1/31, first payment due is on 3/1. Or, payments may be seasonal.
Easy to do in T-Value or Supertrump, not so easy to figure out in Excel.

Broadcom wireless adapter won't work after laptop reboots

I have Acer Aspire 9410Z using Vista Home premium. When computer shuts down then comes back up, the Broadcom 802.11g wireless adapter won't work. In Device Manager there is a splat beside it. I've tried multiple things in the past to get it to restart,
but it seems different things work at different times. Or at least it seems that way. Acer Support has given me many solutions, none of which worked. Of course, I've done the disable/enable, uninstall/reboot to try to reinstall, update drivers, etc.
When I go to Diagnose, it tells me the Broadcom Adapter is experiencing driver or hardware related issues. When I try to update drivers, I'm told I have the latest driver. Can someone help me? Is there a setting that is causing the wireless adapter to stay
off when the computer wakes up? The wireless switch doesn't seem to do anything: it is always lit up. Pressing it doesn't seem to do anything.

· What is the error code you get when you try updating the drivers?
· What happens when the computer is wired to router?
I appreciate the steps that you have tried to fix the issue, by disabling and enabling the device and updating the drivers for the device.
Unfortunately these steps did not help.
The yellow exclamation mark next to the device in the Device manager, clearly explains the issue is with the drivers for the device.

I suggest that you check if the internet works fine by booting the computer in Safe Mode with networking.
Safe mode with networking starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers.
Startup programs do not run in safe mode, and only the basic drivers
needed to start Windows are installed, follow the steps to boot the computer in safe mode with networking:
i.
Restart the computer.
ii.
Start tapping F8 key.
iii.
You will get advanced boot option window.
iv.
Select the option “Safe mode with Networking”.

I would suggest that you uninstall the drivers for the Broadcom adapter from device manager and manually download the drivers for the device from the link below and install the drivers and check.

If you failed to fix it, another option is to call Microsoft and walk through the process with a technician. To do this, dial "1-800-936-5700". Explain the error that you received and the steps in the update process during which it was displayed. The technician will be able to walk through the steps from getting a new product key to finishing the installation.

Hi,
The story goes like this: I was infected with a ransomware (the interpol kind, if it matters), and all I could possibly do to get rid of it was a system restore.
So I did it, and it helped.
I don't know if
it has anything to do with it, but ever since, I've been getting blue screens (BSOD), usually when playing games (hence, using up a big chunk of my 2GB RAM).
The computer's also been performing relateively slower than it usually was.
I've read about BSOD on the internet and there were multiple advices to update all MB, GPU etc.
drivers, so I did.
Windows too (finally installed SP1, I think, although I'm sure I had already installed most
of the security patches it includes).
I also ran ESET online scanner - which found "Molebox.D" in a game's launcher (legit and known) and 4x "multiple threats" in java cache - and MBAM, which found nothing.
I'm still getting those BSODs, which is really annoying.
I downloaded "WhoCrashed", which analyzed the minidump files to this:

There is only so much you can do with a bugcheck like this until it comes down to a faulty processor that will need to be replaced.
Start from 1 and work downward:
1.
Ensure your temperatures are within standard and nothing's overheating.
You can use a program such as Speccy if you'd like to monitor temps -

Clear your CMOS (or load optimized BIOS defaults) to ensure there's no improper BIOS setting -

Use the System File Checker tool to repair corrupted or missing system files:

We are on Office 7 and it doesn't matter if I am using the .doc or .docx version of Word.
As soon as I click out of the page and back, my document returns to the top of the first page and the browse button defaults to browsing by line....not page. I keep
resetting it but as soon as I click to another open document, I have to start the process all over again. Any suggestions?

BSOD Crashes after Win 8.1 Update . HELP!

Hello,

I have just recently updated my windows 8 to windows 8.1 on my Sony Vaio computer.
Last night, I was playing a game when all of a sudden my computer had blue screened.
This was the first blue screen ever on my computer and I thought it was just a freak
occurrence and shrugged it off.
I went back to playing the game after the restart thinking it wouldn't happen again.
But then, it blue screened again.
I have reason to believe that after the update to windows 8.1 some of my files may have been corrupted.
Unfortunately I'm not that technologically advanced and need some help in identifying the error.

I have included the two dmp.files from the two blue screens

I would be eternally grateful if someone could give me some insight into what went wrong.

BSOD Windows 7 Dell Latitude (all models)

This one's a doozy.

I work at a company (fairly large) and we use the latitude series of laptops.
IT finally is testing windows 7, but we have run into an issue none of us can figure out.
Random BSOD's.
Event viewer is useless, and the only thing after months of testing that I
deem relevant is it only seems to happen when using the network (usually heavy but sometimes just printing a word document).
Any ideas or help? I have tried the D630 and E6400.
Both are compatable with windows 7 and I am even using a 630 for personal use at
home with windows 7 and it hasnt BSOD once.
The only possible answers are:

1.
Our image
2.
Our network
3 Enviornmental (I dont think so, but a Dell tech suggested this).

I can VPN in from home and so far havent BSOD yet, so its very puzzling.
I have uploaded the DMP files to my skydrive, I would appreciate anyone who can find the time to look into this for me, thank you!

By the way, it is NOT drivers or software, or anything like that.
I have literally tried everything available to me.

Maybe this can Help
There is an inherent
Catch22 in trying to repair a Wireless computer through Wireless.
Since the Wireless is not connected to the source, there is No interaction between the Wireless source and the Wireless Client, and no frame of reference to find what is working and what
is Not working.
As a first step, I will move temporarily the computer to a spot near the Wireless Router and connect it with a wire.
When it works with a wire, switch Off the Wireless Security in the Router, disconnect the wire, and try to make the Wireless work.
This should be done while the computer is still near the Wireless Router to compensate for weak, and or blocked signal that
might be part of the problem in the further away working spot.
In the computer itself.
Most Laptops have a physical switch for the Wireless card.
Read the computer's manual and make sure that the Wireless card is On.
Check the Device Manager for valid Wireless card entry.

If there is No valid entry, delete any Bogus Entry, and re-install the Wireless card's Drivers.
Check the Network connections to make sure that you have a Wireless Network Connection Icon/Entry, and that the Properties of the Icon (right click on the Icon) are correctly configured with TCP/IPv4 protocol in the Network Connections Properties.

Make sure that if there is a vendor's Wireless Utility the utility is Not Running together with the Windows native Wireless utility.
Make sure that No Firewall is preventing/blocking the Wireless components to get to the Network.
If everything above is OK and it is not connecting to the Wireless router.
Log from any computer that is, or can be connected to Wireless Router with a Wire, disable the Wireless Security, make sure that the Wireless broadcast is On, and try to connect with
No Wireless security.
When working turn On the Wireless security.
Note* People sometimes make mistakes in writing and retyping the security passphrase.
Alternative way is to copy it from the Router's menu, and then paste when asked by the Wireless card.

I really checked and configured every thing and it does Not work.
Software Firewall application that is Not configured to allow local traffic (between the computer and the Router is a possible issue too.
some 3rd party Software Firewalls keep blocking aspects of Local Traffic even it they are turned Off (disabled).
If possible configure the Firewall correctly, or totally uninstall it to allow clean flow of local network traffic.
If the 3rd party software is
uninstalled or disables, make sure that Windows native Firewall is On
.
