Black screen on windows boot / can't boot from installation DVD

Hi, this is my first time posting on Microsoft forums


I had problems with Windows 7 yesterday, for some reason the registry became corrupt.
After looking for solutions for 4 hours, I finally gave up and reinstalled Windows.
I installed the drivers successfully, and as I was downloading Windows updates, my
taskbar disappeared and after 5 seconds my computer crashed, showing BSOD for a split second.
I did not have time to see what the problem was.
I've been using it for <2 hours at that point. 

Now, if I try to boot onto the hard drive with Win7 on it, I just get a black screen.
No cursor, just a black screen straight after my motherboard manufacturer's logo.
I decided to try out the windows recovery options.
But booting from the windows installation
DVD does not work.
I get stuck at the "starting Windows" screen, with the logo.
It just hangs there forever. 


Oh yeah, I've been using this machine for six months now.
This is the first time something goes wrong. 

If you want to find out my hardware, don't hesitate to ask me. 

Please help me find a solution to this problem.

• Search "MSCONFIG" and Open.
