Downloaded an Add-on but not in IE8

I have just downloaded the YouTube Add-on for IE8.
This Add-on will let you download videos from YouTube.
It seems to have installed correctly.
I have updated to the most current version.

Maybe I am making an incorrect assumption here but I cannot find any hint of this add-on in IE8.

It has an icon on my desktop that works.

If this is an Add-on for IE8, why is it not in IE8??

Is there something that I am not doing here to cause this??

This is the first add-on that I have downloaded.
I expected it to have a button in IE8 to execute the program.

Please help a simple minded person decipher this.

To install optional updates, you need to review and then select them from the list of updates that Windows finds for your computer. Optional updates are not installed automatically.
Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Update.
In the left pane, click Check for updates, and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer.
If any updates are found, click View available updates.

Windows Restore

Click on the Start button on the Taskbar.
Type "System Restore" (without quotes) in the Search box and hit Enter or,
Click on System Restore (when you see System Restore pop up in the list of search results).
Make sure the "Recommended restore" radio button is checked on the restore utility window.
Click on Next and follow the instructions given.

Note: There is the option on the restore utility to select "Choose a different restore point". Unless you have a specific reason to select a different date and time than what Windows recommends, just select the recommended option stated in the steps above. If you choose to select another one, follow these steps:

Although - truthfully - looks like you are out of luck. The manufacturer (Intel) just may not support it in that operating system.

So, again, you may be out of luck in attempting to run a newer Windows OS (Windows 7) on a system with that video chipset without just purchasing a different video card and putting it in the system if possible.

I am intrigued by the Archos 9 tablet PC, which runs Windows 7 Starter Edition, but has received somewhat lukewarm reviews, with its performance mostly described as weak.
I was thinking that Readyboost might help it, but I am unsure if it is supported in Windows 7 Starter Edition.

If you failed to fix it, another option is to call Microsoft and walk through the process with a technician. To do this, dial "1-800-936-5700". Explain the error that you received and the steps in the update process during which it was displayed. The technician will be able to walk through the steps from getting a new product key to finishing the installation.
