Does Readyboost work with Windows 7 Starter Edition?

Will Readyboost work with Windows 7 Starter Edition? 
I am intrigued by the Archos 9 tablet PC, which runs Windows 7 Starter Edition, but has received somewhat lukewarm reviews, with its performance mostly described as weak.
I was thinking that Readyboost might help it, but I am unsure if it is supported in Windows 7 Starter Edition. 

Anybody know for sure?

Windows ReadyBoost can use storage space on some removable media devices, such as USB flash drives, to speed up your computer.
When you insert a device with this capability, the AutoPlay dialog will offer you the option
to speed up your system using Windows ReadyBoost.
If you select this option, you can then choose how much memory to use for this purpose.
 
This feature comes with all editions of Windows 7.

If you failed to fix it, another option is to call Microsoft and walk through the process with a technician. To do this, dial "1-800-936-5700". Explain the error that you received and the steps in the update process during which it was displayed. The technician will be able to walk through the steps from getting a new product key to finishing the installation.
