Cell & Data change colour if total equals a match

I have a spreadsheet that was created many years ago, for checking lottery numbers.
The magic number for winning any prize is to have 3 numbers match.
As you enter the numbers any of the numbers matched in any ticket changes to red and gives you the total
matches for example in column D on tht praticular ticket.
when the total number hits 3 in column D the cell changes to red and the toal number is in yellow.
If anyone can nudge my brain to recall how this is set up it would be greatly appreciated.
