Database tables and text files no longer paste correctly into Microsoft Excel
I have a number of data tables that I access through database programs (such as brio) or as a sql export to .csv or .txt. I used to be able to copy them and paste them directly into excel with no problems, but recently they have not pasted correctly. They
should paste directly as a table with all of the data in the correct columns, but now it pastes all jumbled up with some of the data broken out in columns and some of it not. Am I the only one who is experiencing this issue? I have just upgraded to Windows
7 so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

If the files are in csv format, then there is no need to copy and paste.
Clicking on the file to open it in Excel, will read all of the data it to the correct columns.
If it is saved as a txt file, then again, if you try to Open the file in Excel, the Data>Text to columns wizard will be invoked, and you can parse the data as you wish.

- Go to Start button.
- Open Control Panel.
- Go to Windows Error Reporting.
- Click on System and Maintenance, then click Problem Reports and Solutions.
- Next, click Change Settings located on the left side panel of the Problem Reports and Solutions window.
- Select an option to configure how you want Windows to look for a solution to your problems. You may allow Windows to do it automatically or ask you every time to check if problem occurs.
- Next, click the Advanced settings link.
- Select Off to turn off Error Reporting.
