Cannot activate Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it says the key is bad

Original title : Flight Simulator X Won't Activate
 
Running Windows 7 (64-bit).
 Purchased online and downloaded Flight Simulator X.
 It downloaded as a 32-bit.
 Does that matter?  Because when I try to play it, it sends me to the activation page.
 When I type in the key, it gives me an error that the installation
is bad, and to reinstall or contact microsoft.
 Tired of reinstalling, I finally contacted Microsoft and have been getting the run-around!  I've already paid for this freaking game and can't use it!  How can this be fixed?  And considering that the download
itself is bad, why can't Microsoft just SEND ME THE GAME?????!!!!!!??????

In this method we will try to Boot in Safe mode with Networking and see if the error still persists.

• Search "MSCONFIG" and Open.
