Card Reader no longer works after upgrading to Windows 7.

I'm using an HP Pavilion dv6700 running Windows 7 Home Premium (32bit) and my built in card reader stopped working after I upgraded to Windows 7.
I checked HP's website and only found Windows XP drivers.
(This laptop came with Windows Vista.) I called
HP today and they refused to help me because I bought Windows 7 from Microsoft directly.

So yeah, what do I do?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to get the hardware working without the right drivers.
You need to wait for the latest drivers to be released.
Alternatively, you can try to download the drivers which are available for Vista and try running it in
Vista Compatibility Mode and check.

COMPATIBILITY HARDWARE DEVICE DRIVERS:

Place the driver installation file on the Desktop.

Right Click the driver installation file and select Properties/Compatibility Tab.
Select the appropriate options in from the list in the following image.

Click Apply/OK.

Right Click the file and select the Run As Administrator option to install.

Make Sure that your Computer Meets the System Requirements
